Left and right belong apart
REVMAPPED retains the direction of estimated lean, including peak left and peak right values. The lean graph crosses an upright zero baseline, so a change of direction is visible.
How the estimate is made
Calibrated phone orientation and motion processing contribute to the lean estimate. GPS and motion signals provide context for corner detection. The phone is not a dedicated motorcycle-mounted IMU, and its movement can differ from the bike.
Mounting matters
Securely mount the phone and calibrate while the motorcycle is stationary and upright. Pocket recording is supported, but movement independent of the bike reduces confidence. Treat low-quality readings cautiously.

Does a pocket reading measure the motorcycle’s exact lean?
No. It is an estimate from a phone that may move independently. A secure mount and valid calibration provide better conditions, but do not establish dedicated-hardware precision.
Should I try to beat my peak lean?
No. Lean is context for a ride, not a target. Review the information after riding and never pursue a number on public roads.
